Should I buy???

Hey everyone. I am a travel nurse and am looking at a 5th gen runner to be my travel rig. It'll take me and my wife and our two dogs across the country as we go from hospital to hospital. Right now I am lookin at this white 16 trail premium for only $32,950. It's immaculate, has kdss, Toyota all weather floor mats and no pull out rear tray thing. It's pretty much perfect. Only thing is t already has 55,000 miles on it! Which explains the low price. So that's the only thing that makes me hesitate but I know that 55 really isn't a lot for a 4runner and I'm good at working on cars so if something does break I could fix it. The reason I want a trail is so I have the option to get into some off-roading adventures along the way. Do you all think I shouldn't be worried about the miles and jump on it?

Nice looking ride. 55k is nothing compared to what these motors and trannys should hold up to. Not that any automobile is a good investment, but you won't regret it.

Do you have the carfax? Was it a rental by chance? Oh and check for accidents of course.

Dealer has the car fax. I haven't actually seen it yet but no accidents, one owner and the guy traveled for work so that's why there's so many miles. Not a rental. Don't think a rental company would ever have a trail premium lol

If that truck is accident/repair free it's a great deal. Jump on it.

These trucks can clock over 400k miles if taken care of. Looks like a steal.

I found a 16 sr5 for $26k w/ 43000 miles. Seems cheap enough. Toyota certified but car fax shows a rental company tagged it for 30000 miles. Need the 3rd row.

I'm not going to comment on the price, not my forte...

But I can weigh in on your 3rd row comment. 3rd row seats in our trucks are pretty useless. They will accommodate a child or a VERY small adult. I used 3rd row in my 2006 GX only a handful of times. And the seats in my 2017 are about the same size.

So I guess it depends on WHAT you need that 3rd row.

I feel 32K is not bad for 55k mile 16 trail premium, if you can find out why there is so many miles on this car in such a short time then there is no other concerns

If you are still not sure, find an old 4runner with high miles and take it for a test drive. It may give you an idea of how long these things last compared to other vehicles. My new-to-me '04 has 173k (still low miles for a 4runner) and feels like a new truck!

If i had the money i would buy it right away ..i have a 2003 and it has 195,000 and its still going strong .. the 4 runners are a investment

55k miles is nothing. I was surprised this week when my 99 lost compression at 228,000 miles.

Seems like a fair deal. I just got my '11 T4R for 22K and it had 62,000 miles on it. I wish mine was the Trail edition tho. I'm sure its worth the extra cash if you wanna go on outdoor adventures!

On a side note, I'm also a travel nurse that just got a 4runner for me and my wife to travel in! right on!

FJ Cruiser with mods... need help!

I have a similar 'should I buy' question.

There's an 2007 FJ Cruiser available locally with a bunch of modifications, and I wonder whether it would be okay to buy a pre-modded truck, if I do what should I be looking for when kicking tires, and whether the mods are 'healthy' for the vehicle - whether I should be concerned about alignment, resting oil level (he installed a diff drop), transmission damage, etc.

Here are the mods:
Toytec ultimate lift kit (height adjustable) with diff drop, sway bar drop, and rear bump stop drop.

SPC adjustable upper control arms

Level 8 MK6 16" wheels

33" BFG KO2s

OEM TT black mirrors and door handles

OEM TTU white grill

Bushwhacker fender flares without rivets

OEM replacement window seals

Stubby antenna

Husky floor mats

50" LED light bar with custom brackets and OEM style button (seen in photos)

Dual USB charging ports (seen in photos)

Mounted fire extinguisher in rear

Shovel, axe, flashlight mounted on inside of rear door (very cleanly done)
