Brought my 2011 trail into the dealer for routine service and they want buy it from me... I asked if they had any 4runners in stock and they have 1. What do they bring out???

I went from 6 to midnight real fast. The Bro is priced at $43000 and they offered me $28000 for my 2011 in its stock form (I keep the gobi etc ).

I have a thing for sand color. What are your thoughts on the deal? I would obviously negotiate more if I decide to move forward.

PS my wife said "wow that's a beauty" so I think I have the green light.

If you're an owner who tends to keep them stock and you both like the color go for it! Screw the Bro part and the need for KDSS. While KDSS is a fine accessory my basic Trail handles fine without. The factory sway bar system is completely adequate.

If you're thinking about suspension mods look for a different trim level. There is no point in getting a TRD Pro if you're going to rip out the very suspension pieces that make it one.

My dealer has an '11 SR5, CPO, 45,000 mi. listed for $28995.00. Based on that I'd say you're getting a good trade, but you don't say what the TRDP MSRP is, so it's not possible to know how good/bad your overall deal is.

The OP is currently driving a KDSS equipped rig so stepping down to sway bars will be noticeable. I would advise the OP to test drive both. KDSS handles significantly better on-road and has benefits off-road. IMHO color is the wrong reasons to buy a car unless everything else is equal. Good luck BJ

So, they're offering a TRDP for MSRP and giving you high trade value. Which, as TRDP deals go, seems better-than-average.

Yeah I def need to sleep on it for sure. I did test drive it around the neighborhood today but that was useless. I need to go back and do a 80mph test on the highway to feel the difference without KDSS.

I love the color but it defiantly will not be my deciding factor.

I saw one of those TRDP Sand models driving around and its different, but def super cool! I have never owned another T4R before my 2016 Trail premium with KDSS, but from my limited experience, although the TRDP is awesome looking, KDSS and a moonroof were a deal breaker for me.

As I get older, on-road handling is more important to me than a lot of other options, but I am coming from a world of low, well-handling cars. Long story short, I am very pleased with how well the KDSS makes an SUV handle. Also, even though I plan on using all of the "trail" functions of the car, I do very much appreciate the creature comforts of the premium with the moonroof.

Not discount the TRD is BS. If they "can't" then have them give another $1,000 on your trade and do it. I have almost 2,000 miles on my less than 3 week old TRD and no ragrets. Check out the used values, they don't depreciate.

When I bought mine I was looking at the TRD and the TEP. I ultimately chose the latter of the two. For 1 the cost more thenergy the trail even after I would finish most of my own additions. Also I am in love with the ability of the KDSS. If you're ready for the switch I'd be on the look out for a trail Premium W/ KDSS.

Sleeping on it is a very wise choice. I spent a LONG time deciding on which model to get, and decided on the trd-pro. The only reason was that as much I told myself I would purchase a trail edition, replace the suspension with a quality lift, then wheels, and tires, more, more, ect. it would never really happen. With a house, family, small business the truck fund would never get funded enough to do all this. So I paid up initially for a factory version. Everyones situation is different.
