ShrockWorks Battery 2014/2015 California

Has anybody used the ShrockWorks Aux battery solution on 2014 or 2015 Gen 5 4Runner. It looks like exactly the right solution. But they indicate that moving the Secondary Air Injection Pump might cause problems with Emission folk.

They say on their website

"While this kit will retain complete functionality of the secondary air injection system and prevent any codes from being thrown, it may cause issues with the visual emissions equipment inspection in some states. As such, this kit is designed for off road use only. The buyer is responsible for understanding any local, state or federal regulations pertaining to the on road use of this kit."

My question is has anybody got a sense if this is going to be OK in California?

The original design came from a California resident who is running this set up with no problems. Everything on these kits looks right at home in the engine compartment.

If it were a problem it would take an extremely well trained eye from a super inspector to identify the relocation. Not trying to knock any state inspectors out there, but the chances of that are almost nonexistent.

I ordered the dual battery kit and the secondary air-injection pump relocation kit. Now I'm not really thinking I'll need the pump relocation kit but we'll see!

If you have a the emissions pump on your 4Runner it will need to be relocated to make room for the battery tray. Also, the washer fluid reservoir kit is required with the emissions pump relocation kit to provide a mounting location.

Has anyone had any problems with this in CA? I'm about to install mine and just curious. I'll probably do it regardless and move it back (temporarily) if I get *caught.

the emissions folks don't even know its been moved.
