Shrockworks front skid

Hello guys. Ordered a set of skids from shrockworks.

I was wondering how does the front skid meet the bumper?

I can only find pics online of people with the skids but with aftermarket bumpers.

They don't meet the bumper, they meet the crossmember just below the radiator. There will be a gap between the plastic bumper cover and the skid plate.

That little aluminum skid plate with 5 holes in it comes with their bumper they sell and probably doesn't work with the stock bumper.

Crap I was afraid of that.

For filling in that gap?

RCI has a plate that might work for you. 10+ Toyota 4Runner Filler Plate - Stock Bumper

Otherwise find a local guy that can fab one up, or try it yourself, its just a basic sheet metal part.

I don't think that is a super important skid to have depending on where you are driving, but it can certainly help with that one in a million twig that pokes through your radiator.

Yes to avoid all sorts of debris (and mud) to just stack in there for when i'll be doing the oil change

I saw the RCI one... dang $65 + shipping... that hurts !
