From a technical writing view point -

When you say "this week" you are not giving a clear designation in time other than "this week". There is a lot of week to this week and considering how vague the communication has been on the rest of this group buy it is understandable. The vast majority of other group buys have a set cut off date, a minimum number of orders posted for the GB to work and such. This one had none of that. Honestly I figured it was a hose job initially because it lacked so many details that make it worth while. I do not know how many of us have the extra $400 and up to leave locked up for months on end while you get this little group buy thing done.

So just incase I was not clear enough - the communication in this GB has been substandard in my opinion. I am glad it is happening; but since I am just getting a set of sliders it is not like I am saving a small mint or anything.

As a second thought - considering how many different types of classified threads have strict guidelines in order to be posted I am surprised there are not any guidelines for these GBs. Some of these posted with lots of info and some of these are very shady posted that seem more like we are buying stuff that is going out the back door of the warehouse. I understand I am new to this forum; but I have been around on forums since 2005 and been doing GBs for almost as long.

Participate in the group buy....or don't. Accept what is being offered in the way of a group guy, or GTFO. But don't ***** about a service that a member is providing for free. This is like a panhandler handing back free food that was just given to them, stating that they don't like the way you cooked it.

Calling them and referring to this thread without your discount code will not get you the discount.

Will a simple call to them get me what I want or ?, I do have my code. I just didn't want to call blind...so to speak.

[MENTION=123514]Falonious[/MENTION] just call in and talk with Mark. I did the same thing 2-3 years ago on a GB. Mark allowed me to customize my sliders just the way I wanted them. Then another GB I called him to have a special color for powder coating my skid plates. Just because we're doing a GB...doesn't mean we still aren't customers!

ShrockWorks is a great company and Mark is a awesome guy who's very easy to work with...he will do what he can to make you happy!! Don't know what all you have in mind...but get your stuff Powder coated by them. They do an awesome job...and you'll never touch there price IMHO!! Two very harsh winters...lots of salt...and my sliders still look as good as the day I got them!!

That so funny...I'm doing the exact same thing. First is the extra money...then the tire swing just doesn't look that good. I have their front bumper, sliders, and full set of skids...all high quality and look great! Rear bumper looks great...but you add that tire swing?? Not so great. Trying to get them to change it up for me...lol!! We'll see....

To get the sliders just like mine add the dimpled tread plate option. That's exactly what mine are.

I was the same. Went with textured and loving it! Happy with the traction and look. No regrets at all!!!
