SHROCKWORKS Summer Group Buy 2014

I'm afraid that's doubtful. The reason for the group-buy, per Shrockworks, with multiple orders at one time, they can purchase the materials in a larger, and cheaper bulk, therefore, passing the savings onto the group buy participants. I missed said group buy, by about six days and I could not even get in on it. Luckily for me, I live relatively close to Shrockworks and do not have to pay for shipping. You know, if you are really penny pinching, there are less expensive alternatives, ie. Demello, CBI, Addicted Off Road. Their 4th gen front bumpers are over $300.00-$400.00 less than Shrockworks. I'm not sure which gen your Runner is, but I would assume that this price disparity is the same for ALL GENS. Not to mention, the lead time (wait) for the fabrication of a Shrockworks bumper is FOUR to FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS from purchase date!!!!!! The other company's lead times are about a month. You really need to think hard about this.

I like to treat myself to nice thing every now and then lol but SHROCKWORKS is the best looking to me and best quality etc so I went with them. Obviously I knew about the others but I've never liked the way they looked. It's already been 3 months since I ordered mine. But the reason being is that they probably ordered my bumper within the group buy and didn't get to use it, chances are they ordered all the metal they needed with mine at the same time they ordered the others. Atleast that's what I'd assume

I have a question for anybody and everybody. I ordered my Shrockworks Front bumper on July 25th and never saw this group buy thread. I'm 17 and working at a pizza joint making minimum wage and saving for college (I'm a senior in HS) I had been setting aside some money everyday check to buy the bumper and when I finally did it was about a year and a half of saving. Do y'all think Shrockworks would be so kind to squeeze me in on this and give me some of my money back if I told them my predicament? Or is it a lost cause and I shouldn't even try? 15% off don't seem like much on a $1500 bumper but every Penny counts when you've got to pay for college! Thanks ahead

Sorry guys. We gotta throw up the red tape every once and a while. We have let them stretch here and there when we get somebody that calls with a good story the day after a group buy closes, but if we let it stretch too far we'd have everyone demanding a discount (which is already requested in sales almost on a daily basis, lol).

We may not offer a forum wide discount, but try to do a group buy at LEAST once a year. So, keep your ears to the ground and hopefully we can make it up to you on the next go around.

As for the orders that did make it, we have hired 3 new employees in the past few weeks and they are getting up to speed at a pretty rapid rate. That being said we are moving product faster than we have been able to in a long time. So, no promises but if things keep going at this rate we might be running a little ahead of schedule.

Hmm, I just checked and my credit card was charged in full when I placed the order in August.

TxBxSx - for future reference are any of the skids interchangeable between the FJ and 2011 4Runner TE with KDSS? Bought the FJ skids.

2010+ 4runners and 2010+ FJ's share the same skid package, BUT there is a different engine skid available for 4Runners with KDSS. Also, the gas skid between the two different bodies is different.

A KDSS skid can work on a non-KDSS truck, but not vise-versa. The mass of the KDSS sway bar and all of its movement requires more clearance.

Just got my step sliders in. They did the best job of packing them, for shipping, that I have ever seeing for something this size and weight.

The sliders look great I just wish I got them sooner so I don't have to do the install when it is 20 degrees out side.

Delivered yesterday. Installed today. Heavy, could have used more more hands but I worked it out with some jack stands. Those blind nuts were a bit if a bit$&. I wish I had a welder at home would have been easier. Otherwise they look awesome and they are strong enough to jack the runner up with.

Using Shrockworks Sliders as Jack Points

Maybe the wrong place to ask this question, but for those that use their sliders as jack points, are they "bolted on" or "welded on"? Would these be strong enough to jack up with while "bolted" without any issues?

So glad to see this post here. Glad to see people got to enjoy this awesome product, and glad to see there are still the same trolls on here hating on SW wait time. It is always clearly stated up front. If you don't have the patience for it then go elsewhere.. . Never did understand those folks. As for me loved the product, they were great to work with, and when it mailed out they let me know. I get compliments all the time. As for the trolls :frusty:. . .troll on
