Side step bar lights

Reach in from the back of the side step, and it's hollow. Reach up and you'll feel a bulb, it's not like the interior where you take the plastic off. Rather, rotate the bulb towards the car and itll pull out. Pull the bulb out, and replace it :) Its base is wedge 194 :)!

Get some LEDs, they will be much brighter. Superbrightleds, vleds, and eBay all have them as do a few members here (whitebeauty & another vendor).

They're all alright, just don't go too cheap on the model no matter which route you go or you'll be let down. Not saying you have to buy the most expensive ones, just don't think you're gonna spend $10 and get super bright ones.
 
I don't think the running board housings have reflectors inside, if that's true forward facing would make the light most useful (since back and side facing lights would be using the extra LEDs to light up the inside of the house.

I tried cheap eBay 360 bulbs at one point and they lit the boards up very, but I think, in retrospect, that forward facing may have given more light.
