Sleeping Platform/Storage

My biggest thing is something that they will hold themselves open so they don't just close on me.

There are some out there that are push to open, and slow to close. I thought I saw some on a woodworking site once. I'll check with my suppliers to see what they have.

Everything I have seen has a locking latch that sticks out, which could work but I would have to design a hole for it in the drawers face.
Also I'm changing the drawer lengths down to 24" (2 sets). I'm gonna save the back section for a cubby of sorts. Keep items that are low use and kept in the truck long term there. Similar to what you did.

I'm been away from this thread for a couple years, but would like to share a couple platforms that I've built in that time.

I had to use it to raise the rear of the 4runner when we stopped for the night due to a poor spring choice. It was only to help level things out when we were cooking.

I've had 861's for about 2 years now wuth Tokico black shocks. Stiffer ride, but holds the weight well.
