Sliding rear cargo deck from 2016 into 2020?

I’m trading my 2016 Trail Premium for a 2020 <del>Trail</del> TRD Off Road Premium. My ‘16 has a sliding cargo deck. The ‘20 does not. I asked the dealer about moving it into the ‘20, they said it’s not possible. However, there is a thread on this forum with instructions on how to do just that.

Would there be anything that changed from 2016 to 2020 that would prevent the swap?

Nope. As long as you have all the parts, it’s a direct swap. If the truck didn't come with one from the factory, there are two holes that need to be drilled to access the pre-threaded mounting holes in the truck but that's easy too.
