Sluggish/ Stuttering during initial acceleration

Hi guys. My 2000 5spd is acting funny. When I first step on the gas pedal it will sometimes take a second or two to respond, or it will respond right away then there will be a significant lack of power right after. No codes are coming up.

I changed the spark plugs and the wires all look good. I've also put some cleaner in the tank and I'm running it to see if that helps but so far no change.I was thinking it could be a coil pack. I have one and could try swapping it around. Could there be any other things that could cause this kind of poor acceleration to happen?

Sooooo.. it seems to be fine now! I think maybe it just took a few days for the STP fuel system cleaner I put in a few days ago to kick in. After driving around for half an hour I notice a pretty big improvement!

Try to be consistent with where you get fuel. I have had a view bad tanks from sheetz and will never get fuel there again. I had shutters and misfires and now that I only run Sunoco with lucas fuel injector cleaner every 3 or 4 tanks, it runs like a gem. If it happens again, maybe try some seafoam as you could have some gunk built up in the intake and valves. Glad it is back running well. Got to love the 5 speeds.:whoo:
