small lift that maintains some rake

I have been endlessly searching through different threads on this forum but still cannot determine my ideal options.

Want:
Small lift without requiring new UCA/maintenance issues.
Want to maintain some of the factory rake since I do load up the back camping.

Thinking:
2" in front and 1.5" rear
5100 struts

Having issues finding springs that maintain rake. Most seem to remove and/or have more then > 2" front travel.

So far I have only found dobinson springs as a option for me. Am I missing any other options? OME seem greater, wheelers/eibach remove rake

I would agree that Dobinson is probably your best choice for what you want. Since you want to lessen but not eliminate the rake, that makes this difficult.

Just go with an adjustable setup on the front. I’ve quite happy with the Bilstein 6112 which can be adjusted 0 - ~3” to match whatever rear springs you end up with and dial the rake as you want.

FWIW I used 6112 at position 4 (I have KDSS) and netted ~1.75” front lift. I left the rear springs stock and I still have 3/4” rake.

I am a firm believer in maintaining some rake… it’s there for a reason.

Unfortunately I don’t know the secret sauce on the 5th gen, but I was able to get achieve it on my 4th using 6112 (one down from the highest setting) and the OME 2895 rear spring. Loaded up with a medium to heavy load and it not only levels out well, rides great on and off-road.

I think I got somewhat lucky in terms of getting right the first time, but Wheelers Offroad did guide me in the right direction. If you like Dobinson, I would talk it out with the vendor, I’m sure they can provide some guidance.

If I had to do my setup again/upgrade, I would consider picking the rear coil I wanted and getting a threaded front coilover for max performance and adjustability. I have become quite accustom to having nice shocks and most all higher end shocks are all threaded.

How about this:

Eibach rear shocks.
Eibach rear 1" springs.
EIbach front shocks
Factory front springs.

If you lift the rear an inch and the front only .8 (second clip) or 1.6" (third clip) you'll still have rake.
