Smog check?

So is been 2 years and my rig is due for another smog session..

so in my DMV, it states smog certification required at a STAR station?

what is this Star Station? is it something different than smog check/test?

cause when I had it done 2 years ago, it was smog test and not Star station..

You should check your local DMV for locations or just Google it. Here they even have tv cameras that show how long the lines are.

I just receive the same letter from the DMV and asked the same question on a different forum regarding my mustang. 2 years ago, I had to go to a test only station, but starting January 1st there will be a selected number of "Star" stations. Apparently, it's suppose to be stricter and harder to pass if your car/truck is modified.

The good news is that since Star stations are not in affect right now, you can take your vehicle to any test only station for smog. There's info on the DMV website regarding this issue if you search around.
