We spent a lot of time on this, and designed this driver specifically around the Toyota 4runner. We know a lot of you guys have already purchased our Xtreme Pro 9005 LED bulb, we designed the component to be backwards compatible with the product (so you don't need to purchase an entire new LED headlight kit).

This video shows our Xtreme Pro 9005 LED bulb with a new prototype driver that can function as both DRL and high beam with no flicker. DRL works at approximately 12% of max light output to ensure DRL is not blinding. This is a TRUE DRL & High beam functional upgrade.

Forgive my ignorance, I’m new to this world of mods and upgrades.

So this product would be an LED replacement for DRL and high beams? What about regular night time low beams? I currently have all stock lights but love LEDs even more than post-it notes.

Can you please tell me how difficult would these be to install and do they require any cutting? Thanks very much!

[MENTION=112338]Kenny Powers[/MENTION] - Your vehicle uses a two separate bulbs for the low and high beams. Upgrading your low beams with an H11 LED bulb will have no effect on your high beams / DRL.

Your vehicle uses a single 9005 bulb for the DRL and high beam. In DRL mode, the vehicle sends a pulsing signal with a low average voltage which causes the halogen bulb to operate at reduced intensity. When you switch to high beam, the vehicle sends a stable 12V which causes the bulb to operate a max intensity.

This new product allows our Xtreme Pro 9005 LED bulb to operate at two intensity levels - one for DRL, and one for high beam (with no flicker in DRL).

[MENTION=139232]proimion[/MENTION] - Have you tired the H11 Xtreme LED Pro kit in your low beams? They're about 35% brighter then the stock H11 halogen, so they're brighter, but not blindingly bright. Pretty good comparison here:

I'll get the H11 Xtreme LED Pro kit. That linked article is very helpful. Seems like a good compromise between the "HIDs are bright, but just keep aiming your lights lower" crowd and those like me who think HIDs don't belong in the 4R halogen projectors. Combined with new 9005 LED driver for highs/DRL, this could be a complete solution.
