So, I started my first website OVERLAND related

I've been seeing a lot of overland groups on instagram, and after viewing many of their websites, I decided to start an overland team for my friends and I. The website is a work in progress, and I am no Web designer, so I tried keeping it simple.

I don't sell anything on my site, so I figured I wouldn't be breaking any rules by sharing...

My CVT tent comes in tomorrow, and prinsu rack next week.I'll be heavily exploring the Cherokee and Great Smoky Mountains National Forests this summer, and would love to have some of you guys tag along. My site would facilitate our meeting points and times. I have a few more people to add to my team page, and if you're in Tennessee, I'd love to add you too. Just pm me some photos of you and your rig, and a short bio. I'll be getting team decals made soon too if anyone is interested. I'll take any critiques you've got to offer, just remember.. I'm a computer novice, so keep it simple.

I'll take any critiques you've got to offer, just remember.. I'm a computer novice, so keep it simple.

Not bashing, just pointing out issues with the current site.
Not sure what template you are using but it does not function at all on Chrome on a 24" monitor.
The line "Get out and explore" is aligned too far to the left. If the screen isn't over 1200px wide it gets cut off.

I am assuming the overland-Tennessee.com is supposed to be your header. It is not aligned within the header box and stays in place as you scroll. If intentional it is too bright to be a background image. Also it's Z-axis is off so sometimes it is behind the text and images, sometimes in front.

The instagram at the top should have a similar icon to the others and be aligned in the same row. These should be carried throughout all pages.

Your footer is several hundred pixels above the copyright. The should be together.

Home Page-
There is a huge amount of space before you get to the footer. That should be removed and allow the site to auto expand as content is added.


About Page-
I would make the slider the width of the body then add the text below it.
Also your SM stats are set too far below the content. Won't be seen. Either move them to the top or just below the content.

Contact Page-
Form is unreadable. Header image is way too far down and overlaps the form.
There is a huge amount of space before you get to the footer. That should be removed and allow the site to auto expand as content is added.

Team Page-
Header is hidden behind the images. Test is not consistent. Overall a little too big.
There is a huge amount of space before you get to the footer. That should be removed and allow the site to auto expand as content is added.

Upcoming trips-
Header behind text and images.
Inconsistent font both size and weight.

Again, not trying to bash, just letting you know the areas that you should focus on. As it stands, the site is unusable on Chrome. (I did a few site reviews for clients so nitpicking was my job for a while)

I would look at a different format than GoDaddy site builder. Maybe learn Wordpress or use WIX HTML5 layouts.

Sorry, the notification didn't work. SM stats is social media stats. THe FB like counts and such.

It does look a lot better. There are still a couple of issues with the template but they would require some coding to fix and I doubt you have access to that being a GoDaddy theme.

If you can fix them, bring the logos to the right into the frame. They are outside of the primary window and get lost on smaller screens.
Also, there is still a large gap at the bottom of each page. I don't know if the theme is set to pick up the longest page and use that size for all of them or what, but it seems to be a fixed size on all pages. Doesn't hurt anything unless you put some info in the footer as most people wouldn't scroll down that for to find it.

Keep up the developing. The more you play with it, the better and more useful it will become.
