SoCal meet/ Del Mar get-together

Where did you post your suspension to get it sold? I have a complete stock suspension that has 500 miles on it. Front and rear. I also have a complete roof rack with rails, and mud flaps for the front. I would love to get this stuff out of my garage.

I did two posts: one on the 5th-gen Mafia FB group, one on the SD 4Runner FB group. A lot more people in the Mafia group, but it means you'll most likely end up shipping it cross country. I also made an ad on the forum, but I got interest less than a day later through FB

Just a heads up, the Meet & Greet is this Sunday, (8/2) at 11AM. The plan is to eat lunch there. and I can schedule a reservation for the Ruby's diner if everyone would like to eat together in the mall. Shoot me a PM if this is something that sounds appealing as I will need to make reservations before hand. If not, there's a Subway, Rubios, Panda Express, etc... to eat.

The plan is to all park together in the SOUTH lot. See my post on pg.2 for a map with details. I'd like to get everyone parked together to take some photos as well. I will also be bringing a drone with a GoPro and gimble on it for some aerial photography of the meet so feel free to wash your rigs, you will be on camera!


Again, I do not have a trail scheduled at the meet. Feel free to bring anything you might want to sell or show off. There will be plenty of T4R experts who ca guide you with your build for all the newbies who are attending.

Parking will be difficult. The mall gets very busy after 12 and I was hoping that by 10 or 11 most of us will be there so we won't have any issues. However I think it's best if we move to the flower field parking lot that's roughly 20 yards south. It is technically overflow for the mall so we should have no issues with space availability. I will update the map with more info as soon as I'm home. The first post will have all of the up to date info.

How does everyone feel about the outlet mall parking lot in Carlsbad? This is the same location that has the Cars & Coffee meet on Saturday, but we would be meeting on a Sunday.

As of today (7/18) I have no plans for a trail run. I believe there is a trail ride up in Cleghorn on the 1st but this would be taking place the following day.

This is as far North as I would like to have the meet since it was originally for Del Mar area folks but I think scheduling a trail run later in the month will allow for more flexible locations more north where there is more places to go wheeling.

If you would like to come, leave a post or send me a PM with your contact info so I can make a list on the first post of this thread to see how many people are interested.

We had a pretty great turnout, around 13 vehicles showed up. Lots of love for the 5th-gens! I'd like to thank everyone for coming out and making it one of the best meets in the SD area.

I'd definitely like to do a trail run at some point and we had a lot of people interested.

If you weren't able to make it, I will CC everyone that was on the list when I schedule another meet!

I suppose it's time we schedule another meet before the summer is over! Sometime early September is what I had in mind, but nothing is set in stone. Any ideas on where we should go? It's a bit hot in the desert but I have been recommended Corral Canyon and Rodriguez Canyon.

I'll use this current thread as a brainstorm for when I create a new thread with all the updated info on a meet date, time, and location. I will also CC everyone who was on this past meet-up list.

Last SoCal meet was really awesome and we had a huge turn out. This time I'm really hoping we can throw in a trail run as well and put those T cases to use.

So, let's hear your ideas and get the ball rollin' on the next SoCal Meet!
