Somewhat scary brake issue...

So the other day I was going to a friends house and just messing around I began to pump the brakes (fully depress and release all the way) rapidly. Well after 1 or two pumps the pedal got hard like I had no power brakes for a couple seconds. Finally, the pedal settled and it was back to normal braking power. This happens every time I pump the pedal rapidly. I am surprised I didn't discover it earlier.

I'm hoping this is just an air in the lines issue, but is it possible my booster is on the fritz?\

I've bled the brakes on this thing multiple times, the most recent being after my Tundra brake upgrade. If that's really the issue I must be doing something wrong during the bleeding process.

I checked the valve, it's a new one anyway I got it last winter. The booster seems to be holding vacuum as well because when I finally wrestled the check valve out there was the loud hiss & pop from suction. Could it be an MC issue?
