Southern Style Offroad

Drove down to Southern Style Offroad in Baton Rouge on Friday/Saturday and yes the devastation is widespread yet indiscriminate in who got hit. One side of the road flooded and the other did not - go figure.

Had this appointment scheduled for a month and Gwen told me to come on down so we did. It allowed us to take some relief supplies to some friends also.

Planned this purchase for about 9 months and finally pulled the trigger about 5 weeks ago. I felt the best place for the install would be at the builder/designer's shop so that's where we went. Plus I have a soft spot for small business owners.

Kevin, the guys and Gwen were great and very hospitable. Felt like we left with new friends. Yes - it will take some time to redo the building etc, but they are still moving forward.

Great place, great people and a great product. Thanks!

I met Kevin in New Orleans almost 2 years ago when he installed mine. Really nice guy, and I make sure I say hello whenever we are at the same place/event. I've been rooting for his business to take off since they started.

I have known Kevin for around 20+ years. I used to knock him and his ideas like any good friend would. However, I have to say I have never seen a more determined person when it comes to his business. He never gave up and is now living the "American Dream". Now I just have to buy my 4runner so I can have more than an SSO sticker.......

Svereb is that the 25" rigid light or the generic?

Also, what winch do you have hidden back there?

I am stationed on the Gulf Coast also, and planning on swinging by before I get moved also.

The winch is the Smitty X20 and the light bar is generic. It was one they had in stock at the time. They do their installs on Saturday.

Congrats on your new bumper, looks great!
I just went by the other day as I am local to them and purchased my front and rear bumpers. Kevin and Catlin are both very motivated with their work.
Did the same set up as yours so its nice to see!

Steve, great pics. It was a pleasure to spend time with you and your wife. Your truck looks great. Hope to work with you again on that rear bumper!! Gwen.

Kevin and Gwen, I'm glad to see you guys pressing on after the 100 year flood. Some of your work is my favorite. I tell everyone if I had a 14+ I'd have your hybrid bumper on my truck. That's how much I love it. Hopefully, at least one of the guys/gals from the ride in Talladega NF will be getting in touch with you all.

Fixed it for you...small typo

I like that set up, it is subtle, blends in with the 4r to the point of hardly noticing it, or looking like something from the factory.
