Spacers with ARB?

Okay, i was told to ask you 4runner owners over here, to see if any of you are doing this...

how well would a 3in spacer lift hold with an ARB front bumper?

anyone doing this and have any insight for me?

just to clarify its not a 30-40k truck so im fine with spacers haha and winter is rolling around and i want a little insurance to compinsate the other drivers here in utahs snow aka the ARB and someday might add the winch. so it will be alot of weight for stock/with spacer

The answer is no because the bumper is to heavy and will make your front end sag you will need to do med to heavy coil spings if you are planning on a winch go with heavy spring. There is a website called toytec and they have really reasonable prices on new springs and they ship super fast. Hope this helps.

ive looked at the website and medium is for 300lbs on the front, and the next firm one is for 600lbs at all times. how much are these bumpers with a winch i was thinking no more than 150 each...

and our the new coil kits better than spacer or just more able to handle the added weight?

New coil kits are much better then a spacer all a spacer does is force your spring down and sometimes it can create problems down the road like premature sag and a rough ride. I raised the front of my with a topplate spacer that goes on top of the strut not the spring. With the new springs and shocks it wil ride better and yes be able to handle more weight. The bumper with a winch depending which one you get adds up to almost 250 lbs. Spacers are very popular because of the price springs and shocks get expensive quick also spacers won't allow as much articulation as you would get from springs and new shocks. You could call one of the companys that sells the springs and spacers and see what they recomend but I am pretty sure they are going to tell you the same thing. Good luck And being your 4runner seems to be a 3rd gen you might get some better answers in the 3rd gen section

k, yeah i was thinkin the same thing but they said to ask them 4th gen guys they have a lot of spacer experience thanks for the responses guys!
