starting to dislike using this page, every other click, a page of spam advertising is popping up and blocking my need for looking up information.

Same here. An anti-virus pop up takes over, acting as if it's doing a scan of my system. The only way out is to hit the back button or exit the forum. If I go back, the pop up often comes back when I go back into the page I was reading or another. Never happens on any other site, so I know it's not a problem with my browser or computer.

Some Span and Advertising are what keep this forum going. True we could all probably do without it, but when the forum is free you are just going to have to deal with it. I guess you could go on Facebook and deal with that BS, but not sure you would find it any better and as far as something running out of control, that's the place for some. I've been on many forums over the years and there all pretty much the same, I find if the topic doesn't suit me, I can hit the back button and move on, you might try the same.
