Spark Plugs - Information

Went to Auto Zone to purchase spark plugs for the 98 V6 4 Runner. They only carry Bosch in the dual tang/electrode plug at over $6.00 each + tax. Decided to try the Toyota Dealer. $4.23 each for Nippendenso dual electrode plugs - out the door price: $27.43 including tax. NGK single electrode plugs at AZ were $2.79+Tax. OEM Toyota Denso Plug Number: K16TR11. Hope that helps for anyone wanting plugs. NGK does not manufacture dual electrode plugs for the 4 Runner. They do have them for motorcycles though.

stick with the Nippodensos

K16TR11 Nippodenso $1.60 each at RockAuto.

Can get 12 at Rock for same price of 6 at dealership. Shipping may add up but with no tax.....
 
The NGK dual ground electrode plug for the 3.4L is BKR5EKB-11

The NGK for the 4 cyl is BKR5EYA-11

Both of these are the copper core stock versions.
I believe you can get better NGK's with more precious metals but I have never pursued that route as they are so easy to change IMO.
 
You can even use the iridium single electrode denso plugs and be ok. I used them when I had my supercharger on with great results. Pricey but worth it
