If you go this route, make sure you get the correct type of "Great Stuff" or any other brand of foam. Open Cell vs. Closed Cell. Closed Cell will create more pressure against the form when expanding, but since you have a hollow area should not be a problem. Also, it is more water proof. Open Cell is a softer foam (will not create much pressure against the form) but it can absorb water. I am sure you do not want moist foam in that area. (Chance of rust). Be safe.

any concerns with debris getting in the open end?

The cover panel is open on the bottom along the pinch seam. So, if water gets behind the plate it will just drain out the bottom.

I removed the SR5 rocker panels because they were goofy....IMO. I have been looking at the trail replacement rocker panels, but they are pricey.

These are pretty sweet. Any word on price?

Also, are these metal or plastic pieces? Sorry if I missed it in earlier posts.

As for being a prototype, It looks great!

Just got an email from the people at Shrockworks (A day after I sent it - they have great customer service!) I talked to Mark and he said they have finished a prototype and should be ready to start building them soon. Price will be around $240 for the pair.

For that price it better be Flawless! and be read to rock with out requiring additional modding (aka expanding foam)
