Sr5 door flare positioning

Recently swapped on some sr5 fender flares and I was curious if anyone else who've done this have had problems with lining up the door flare? I've got the top pretty well aligned but the bottom isn't flush to the rest of the flare as seen in the picture. Any pictures of your clip positioning or tips to help would be much appreciated.

For what its worth, mine look just like that. I tried to reposition the clips, it always ends up with that gap at the bottom. I think that the plastic just kind of warps over the years.

I have the factory SR5 flares and no such gap there.

Are you missing a clip? I have swapped those on to 3 different rigs and they never looked like that.

I think these flares warp over time. It pisses me off when I look at it.

I don't have one, so take this with a grain of salt, but perhaps get them nice and pliable with a heat gun and hold them in place where you want them till they cool?

I'm putting on Limited flares from an accident, the front ones were all bent up but the heat gun straightened them out all nice.

yeah it's pretty annoying to look at but easy to ignore, I might try the heat gun some time but i've never actually used one so I'd be worried about making it worse than it already is.

I'd start with investigating the wheel well flare portion. There is a little rib near the bottom that can be cut back a bit to get the front bottom part of the flare to move forward. Been meaning to do that to mine...

I realized it is the wheel well flare that is the problem but it seems naturally positioned like this so I don't think cutting anything out would help. Do you guys think a heat gun would be my best bet? If so I don't have any experience with one so some tips and tricks would be great.
