SR5 Fender Flare Trim

So I think most people know about this: Toyota 4Runner Highlander Modifications Fender Flare Edge Trim

I've always wanted these, but could never really justify the price. Even on Camelback, the trim is $15.16 per strip. You need 5 to cover everything according to top4Runner, so that's ~$80 with shipping.

So, I've waited. Until the last couple days, when I found this: X1663BT - Fender Flare Trim - Trim-Lok

Found it for $1.50 a foot, for a total of $37.50 for 25 feet at MiataRoadster.com (waiting on shipping cost). I'll do a little write up once I have it in hand and we'll see if covers the way I expect it too.

That link shows 500 feet for $328.00. Are you planning to sell the excess or maybe they changed their webpage since you ordered. I've been thinking about getting the 3rd Gen repainted and was wondering what to do with the flare trim.

Update

So, I got the trim from MiataRoadster.com. Here are a few pictures with the profile and how it looks on the flares.

These pictures are before I painted the flares with Rustoleum Bed Liner. Once they're installed, I'll post some more pictures.

Overall, this trim fits absolutely perfectly:dancin: Being a 3M product they are made really well and the adhesive seems to be very secure. I'm real happy with how they look on the painted/bedlined flares and at half the price of the OEM trim.

More to come...

Is this stuff the same for limited flares?

Not sure about the limited flares as I don't have a limited

Did you have to buy 500ft?

From my first post:

Found it for $1.50 a foot, for a total of $37.50 for 25 feet at MiataRoadster.com (waiting on shipping cost). I'll do a little write up once I have it in hand and we'll see if covers the way I expect it too.

It ended up being $45.50 with shipping and not to plug them again, but MiataRoadster.com was really great to deal with. Their payment policy is a little weird since apparently they have to send you a paypal invoice rather than doing it straight from the websiste. But, it was PayPal, so I knew I was protected if they didn't follow through.

Cheers
