Starter Bolts

Removing my starter to replace the contacts (click, click, click, start) but I cannot remove the lower bolt holding the starter. I'm going to use some PB blaster today but my question is,

Can you fit a 14mm 1/2"drive socket on the bolt? Is there enough room for it?
Ive been using my 3/8" drive but I need more torque.

Sorry, I'm at work and want to know. Otherwise I'd crawl under and find out myself.

I found the 3/8" to be almost too big, I used PB Blaster and then I torched mine. Worked like a charm.

14 mm and 1/2 inch drive. Couple of extensions for sure. Use the harden black box sockets.

Mine were easy to remove, almost like someone just changed the starter easy. What about a breaker bar?

Good luck, I had to drop my exhaust to get better leverage. :frusty:

Well, 1/2 drive with the black hardend socket type did the trick. With ease!
Pretty quick after that. Just pulled the starter through the wheel well and about 20mins to replace parts and bolt back up. Starts like a champ now. Thanks everyone.
Though this thread has probably been posted a million times I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
