I'm not a Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer; I am an in the US Navy. (1/2 of this forum is in the military). I've been into wheeling for quite a few years now but am going more of the expo route. I still like to wheel though. Last wheeler was a 94 Toyota Pickup. I own not 1, but 2 4Runners.

Andrew, I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is just getting obsessive and creepy...haha

I'm pretty disappointed this thread went down the route it did. This isn't about winning or who has a nicer 4runner. It's about supporting an awesome vendor and guy (Vin). He put a lot of time, money and heart into these wheels so that we could have a quality wheel for our Toyota's. It shouldn't matter if the person has a billion dollars or 5, because its about showing your pride for your 4runner and the wheels you sport. Getting cheaper wheels is a perk not the reason we are doing this. Vin could have 30 guys who have the wheels be his sponsor if he asked but he wanted to be generous and pass along a discount with the sponsorship. It's just disappointing that some people can come into this thread and throw negativity around. I know if I did gain sponsorship I would try my hardest to help Vin by going to as many meets or shows to showcase his product. Help spread the word on these wheels and make it about him and his company, not the money I save by being a sponsored vehicle. I do believe every 4runner is worthy of this sponsorship regardless of their use. Vin's wheels are not 4x4 directed, but Toyota directed. He will get a lot more exposure on the streets than out in the middle of nowhere on the trails. So blk-4runner migh be a good choice because his ride really excentuates a modded vehicle. I just hope the individual who does receive the honor to be a sponsor vehicle really appreciates it and works with Vin to help SCS make a huge impact in the Toyota wheel world.

Vin you're the man for setting this up and being generous enough to help the lucky guys out with their first set of SCS wheels.



Mods, I know I'd be appreciative if you cleaned up all the garbage that is filling this thread.

WOW! So as many of you know I have been neglecting T4R and my runner for a while! What better way to get back on the ban wagon and wrap some 35's around an nice vancy set of Bronze alloys!
I think they would blend into there natural enviornment well! Like T4R4life I will test there durabillity and its getting to be about time to upgrade the tity whitis!

Why pick me? No reason! Why pick my 4runner? Well its seen allover Socal from the beach to the mountians, streets, to the trails!

Have I contributeb to the T4R comunity? I don't know is there anyone following this thread that might want to answer that?

Can I aford a new set of wheels? maybe! As you can see from the amount of time that I have put into my ride I'm not into dropping a lot of cash at my runner. I've been working on my runner for 7 years and 70,000 miles to get it t where it is!

Let's all get along and let Vin do what he is trying to do, promote his works!

Of all the folks I've met throughout my T4R years, driffter33 (jay) is one of the coolest. He invited me for some real wheeling for the first time, even though my truck was 2WD. He's inspired the hell out of me. Also helped me out by welding on my sliders and helping with the supercharger install. He's also gotten out of bed in the wee hours of the morning, driven 30 miles and pulled me out from a deep muddy ditch the middle of the canyon with no prior notice. He donated his front bumper to me when I wanted to color match, even gave me a great deal on a set of OME shocks and 890's. After buying my CB, I was over at Jays and mentioned an idea for a CB antenna tail light mount, and he made me the very first driffter antenna mount (which he went on to sell very many, now several companies make them). I can't wait to hit King of the Hammers this year with my good buddy Jay!

He's a stand up guy who unfortunately hasn't had the best of luck over the years, I couldn't think of a more deserving member.

The original Driffter prototype antenna mount, created with scrap metal in his garage. He went on to give me one of his production mounts which I still use today.

I think that although my truck is smashed, the F-5 wheels still look awesome! I will continue to rock these wheels whether it be on a fixed version of this truck, or on my new 4runner!
