Steering stop covers

I am getting a grinding noise when turning at full tilt. I think it may be the steering stops hitting. (it could be something else but I am not sure). What I am looking for is a a cover for the metal plate. I saw some plastic ones online but they seem to be for older toyotas, I have not been able to find any for 4th gen

Not much help but I was thinking something along that line might be worth trying myself. My thought was to extend the stop just a bit to prevent rubbing at full turn.

Any luck on this? I just realized that my 35's are rubbing on my brand new Camburg UCAs on full lock. Need to space the steering stops about .5" to accommodate (well I mean I rarely turn lock to lock... but it'd be nice to have them there.

I've been thinking about doing this also. Adding some material to the steering stops. I assume it'd be more appropriate to add the material to the knuckle rather than the lower control arm, as the knuckle is less likely to require replacement?

They talk about it somewhere in this thread (bunch of other good stuff too) if you want to read it, but I think the jist was that they just built up a weld on the steering stop to space it further.

I thought about that as well, but I'd like something easily reversible. I'll try and take a look at it more this weekend since I work and may throw it up on the rack.
