Stolen 97 XJ Jeep

" Just an FYI and if people could keep an eye out for it on the road, the trail or in pieces in Craig’s list. It was stolen from his driveway in Lakehills, Bellevue 2 nights ago. Kargo Master roof basket, 33” BFG MT’s, Mile Marker 9500 SE winch, custom 4x4 fabrications bumpers and sliders, rusty’s transmission skid, Rubicon 5” lift, Rusty’s steering kit, Detroit Tru Track LSD, Rubicon drive shaft and slip yoke eliminator and lots more.

I'm by no means an expert in mechanics, but are those aftermarket mods expensive with all added together? if the thief has knowledge (or he's even on jeep forums......) about jeeps and the mods (assuming most mods on this jeep suitable / desired by many jeep fans) on them are more geared toward jeep off road owners. i'm guessing he'll probably part everything out, including the mods to make a quick buck. obviously i'm not a criminal, but that is what i would do if i stole a vehicle that's more geared for off road-ing. otherwise i wouldn't know what to do with it if i wanted to avoid detection haha. it'd be difficult to sell it as a whole just because of the hassles of changing names on the paperwork/changing vin, paint, and anything else they show in the movies these days.

someone help OP find his friend's jeep. though Toyota is king, we must help our peasants and at this time we shall assist the peasants of Jeep.


someone needs to punch him in the mouth before the cops get to him so he learns a lesson which is not to steal a off road vehicle from the man, especially the OWNER.

Yeah, that thing will be found trashed somewhere rolling on stock XJ tires, stripped of anything worth while, and probably burnt to a crisp. Someone probably wanted some parts for their XJ, and is slowly selling the stuff he didn't want to stay under the radar. I doubt they will find out who stole it.

Unfortunately it was found today with nothing more than the body sucks for the owner. Hopefully karma will kick in for the *******s that took his gear.

Start checkin around for the parts. Check craigslist for the surrounding states as well.
