Stolen landcruisers

I am beyond depressed having to write this post...

Last weekend (April 4-5) thieves cleaned out a building where my 1966 FJ45 LPB and my 1973 FJ40 were stored. They took everything in the building both vehicles, a large pile of parts, two trailers, a tractor, tools, etc.

The location was Gustine Ca., near Los Banos in the central valley. The theft wasn't discovered until yesterday.

Please put the word out. As you all know, these are rare vehicles and I have no idea if the thieves even knew what took. The Fj45 was not running and waiting for it's restoration day.

Saw this on the other forums. One is very rare and unusual (even here in CA). Doubt the idiots who took them know what they have.

I'm no criminal expert, but that kind of heist would require some serious planning to execute. To me it doesn't sound like a random dumbass and his buddies breaking in to take whatever is there. IMO this had to be targeted - they knew what was in there and came prepared.

Either that, or there's some situation with the landlord (IF the storage space was rented) and they had it cleaned out for non-payment of rent - or the wrong unit was cleaned out.

Sucks, I hope that stuff is found and returned to the rightful owner. I'd be beyond livid...

Storage warehouses being cleaned out is a common thing in CA.

And police aren't responding to shit right now, so that gives them more motivation to steal.

Damn, so is there a crime ring that has equipped themselves for this specific task? Or are random dumbasses and their buddies really just pulling up with a uhaul and loading up whatever they find?

Happens anywhere there is cheap real estate and warehouses. AFAIK they just get a truck and clean the place out, but they seem like to stalk social media sites to pick their targets so there has to be some organization behind it.

Adam Savage *****ed about how they cleaned out all his tools from his warehouse a few months ago--one that was featured on several Discovery TV shows.

Considering they got away with it clean and the cops are not dealing with much that ain't a violent crime I would not consider them random dumbass thieves. No wonder the gun stores and the amno is gone everywhere.
