I've been thinking about building a drawer system for storage but hadn't come up with one I liked. I found these boxes at the surplus store for $65 each and they are the perfect size for the 4Runner. They are 19" wide and 31" (or 30"? forget) deep. They are not too heavy but are very strong. I may put a platform over them and a way to lock them in for security. They slide right out like drawers but have handles so you can put them on the ground, or drag them away if necessary.
They were made for a medical instrument kit. They also have 6 steel legs that fit onto the latches so the top can be used as a table - nice for picnics or camping!
