No, unfortunately. I know what you are thinking, that you've got extra thread and you could somehow loosen it to relieve pressure and gain lift. But if you've ever taken one apart, it doesn't work like that.
The only way to gain lift is by adding a spacer or replacing the coils with taller or stiffer ones.

No, study lift install write ups. It can be dangerous to mess w this nut w/o knowing what you are doing.

It's not so much a matter of how much thread it should be tightened down, but rather the torque to hold the strut in place. You don't want your strut assembly falling out due to a loose top nut. The struts are holding the weight of the engine, so even if you took the nut off it's not going to rebound or nothing.

Technically, the strut is held in place by the three outside nuts. Your point is valid....but the risk is of the shock and spring separating from the top plate, effectively breaking the strut in half.[/picky]

you can add a top plate spacer, or make one, up to about a ¼" thick without needing any extra bolts. the tundra+5100 coilover assembly is actually longer than the stock coilover so adding a top plate spacer would do no more harm as long as its doesnt make the assembly longer than the tundra assembly.
basically put the front up on jack stands, take the wheel off, remove the bolt connecting the shock to the lca, then remove the three bolts that secure the top plate, put the spacer on top of the top plate, then reassemble, and get an alignment.
