Suggestions for a 3-4 day Adventure!

So few of my buddies got a long weekend coming up in mid-October for 3-4 days and we're debating what could be a good adventure for 3-4 days. We'll be departing out of Orange County, CA so figure i pop it in this section.

Things we're looking for on this excursion:

-Nice Scenery
-Hiking/backpacking
-Camping
-Rock Climbing (optional)
-BLM shooting (optional)
-Some River crossings would be nice

Few places in my head are different parts of Utah, possibly the Grand Canyon, Oregon?(never been)

I want to keep it fairly close since I don't want the commute to kill most of our trip.

Mohave Road, take as long as you want, finish in Vegas for a shower and pool party.

North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Kanab PT, Toroweep, are amazing - most/ all of the north rim area is BLM land until you get close to the Canyon. Lots to see, hikes into the canyon.

Lake Pleasant to Crown King and then off into Prescott and Mingus Mountain in Arizona is a great trail ride too.

If you decide on the Mojave Road trip, along the way or close by is the Lava Tube, Aiken Cinder mine and the Bert Smith Cabin.

Mojave Road is on my to-do list for a 4 day adventure...but the mountains keep calling me until the serious snow hits.

Should have some epic fall colors going on mid-October. Great hiking obviously. Alabama Hills and The Buttermilks have great rock climbing. Never been shooting up there but plenty of BLM land so I'm sure you can research and find some good places. Tons of car camping/offroading options as well. It's an outdoor playground up there, and only 5-6 hours drive from OC!

Couple different places to start the trail. Afton Canyon is the beggining. Technically it ends near Laughlin NV, but possible to get to Vegas. Good time, great trail.
