I'd venture to bet outside of the monthly 4HI/4Lo/ Center Diff actuator cycling, the sunroof of our vehicles is probably the most neglected PM item.
Ya need to clean and lube the tracks. I do it semi-annually on ours with white lithium grease (no issues to date on a 2007). Also you should clean and wax the entire painted mating surface where the rubber gasket touches the paint when closed (sounds dumb I know but it helps with weird noises if clayed then waxed real good), also you should put some sort of protectant on the rubber trim piece. Each has their own preference, but I use Aero303 because is has UV protectant to prevent dryrot. You should wax the front underside of the sunroof (sounds dumb but alas a lot of them rust here for some reason...so wax it). Don't forget to clean out your 4 sunroof drain paths (I do it semi-annually) one in each corner.. .easy enough by using compressed air if you don't have that you can fish a weedwacket string down the clear tube until it comes out the bottom. There are some other issues like rattles people have fixes for on the forum but if you do this PM, you should be 90% of the way there. Chances are if your sunroof is popping, your tracks are dirty or ther eis debris in the linkage, continuing to operate it without cleaning it will cause it to break (Eventually).
