Hey Guys, I just had something really freaking weird happen to me. While driving on the freeway, my sunroof glass became separated from it's metal frame and it flopped back hard on my roof shattering the glass. Examining the sealing goop that was holding it in the frame, it doesn't appear this was the original sealant so I'm assuming a previous owner did a hack job of resealing it and it failed big time unfortunately for me.
Is this something common with these sunroofs? Does the sealant get old and you have to reseal it to the frame? I've got another sunroof coming from The 4runner House in Texas. It wasn't exactly cheap but the guy that runs this business is more than fair with his parts pricing so I'm glad I found him.
