It's easy to play Monday morning quarterback on a lot of that game, but he's proven to be a good coach. Right now, he's not the one calling the plays (but yes, he is the head coach and always has veto rules). They (the Falcons) sealed the edge pretty much all game which is why we were running more plays straight up the gut than through the edge.
With our defense, I think you saw just how important Nate Clemmons is to our D. Especially on early running downs. He seals up that line like no other. Not to mention the added pressure it puts on our secondary with almost zero pass rush from the line.
With all my sadness, anger and frustration with that game, I ended my day super excited for next year. We really weren't expected to go much further than maybe making the playoffs this year. We're the 2nd youngest team in the league. We just cemented ourselves as a legitimate contender for the next several years. GO HAWKS!
And GO FALCONS! (I will most often want the team my team loses against to win it all)

I still can't believe the Ravens beat the Broncos...talk about a collapse on D. I'll never root for the Pats, no matter who they're playing. When I was younger my dad was a huge 49ers fan, so I guess it's back to them!

and don't just blame their defense, peyton threw a couple picks and lost a fumble.

Oh I'm not, trust me. My team had Petyon for years. As great as he is, he just doesn't seem to close in the playoffs. But that final play is what lost them the game. How the receiver got past 2 defenders is inexcuseable.

They looked pretty good. Seems like a fitting Superbowl considering both teams barring a few big mistakes, should have been there last year.
When my teams are out I tend to root more for teams with players or coaches I like/dislike rather than the team itself. I was hoping for a Ravens/Falcons Superbowl. Thought Tony Gonzales was more than deserving of getting to at least one of them.

I guess the guy who came out with that report isnt credible, he has a number of 'defamation of character' law suits against him from other players. Plus if it were true it would be huge news and he wouldnt be playing.
That being said, I wish he wasnt playing. Die hard 49er fan, we could use all the help we could get! We're going to win this though, 10 out of the 12 top stats for each team goes to the 9er's and the 11th is tied and they only beat us in points this year by 1 point! We got this. Go 9ers!
