Hey everyone! I'm a newbie to this forum and I know this subject has been touched a hundred times already (yes I did use the search bar) but I was curious if anyone had any Luck using a supra MAF on a 2000 4runner with the 3.4? Which year/model supra Maf do I need to get and does it actually make a noticeable difference? I'm upgrading to the trueflow air intake system and eventually the deckplate mod soon. Are these a good combo?? Thanks!

It won't make a difference unless you are supercharged. Even if you are SCed, you will need additional electronics to run the Supra MAF as it is not straight swap.

True. The MAF is calibrated to indicate a certain voltage for a given airflow (0-X volts). Changing the MAF usually requires retuning the computer to match things up since amount of air for a given output voltage is no longer correct, and the ECM doesn't know how much fuel to provide (at least at wide-open throttle). And, as steezemcqueen noted, it won't add any performance unless you are SCed, and then only if you are moving enough air to peg the factory MAF (which is probably a lot more air than the factory SC is ever going to move).

order up the flange
MAF/MAP Flange - Denso MAF Flange - Small Bore - Subaru/Scion (or find a cheaper place)
for the removable sensor in the 2000 year and weld it to the appropriate size piping that you need.
you could jump up to a 3" pipe which would give you a bit more head room to go larger injectors probably around 300cc if my memory and math are correct. (in other words double check it before you order anything lol)

I don't think the karmen vortex were that bad, at least in comparison to the flapper doors most of my old Toyotas had :lmao:
