suspension advise

current set up
1998 4runner 4x4
OME 906 in the rears; stock 98 coils up front
Tokico trekmasters all around

So i Bought 99 coils along with the y/b billies

I was thinking of this:
99coils up front with the billies
leave 906 coils in the rear with billies/ or with the trekmasters since the coils are already stiff

I know your supposed to run the OME shocks with the coils but I've had no issues running them with the trekmaster

OME shocks BLOW. Stay away from them. I ran 99 Talls upfront and 906's in the back of my '99 with Bilstein HD's. It was a great set up. You'll be fine.

I think that's a little unfair. I broke both of my new Bilstein 5150's on the same day off road, and it was pretty mild mannered stuff. On the other hand I have had the same OME shocks on for over 10 off road trips, Gulches, URE, local stuff...and they are still going strong.

Granted the Bilstein stuff rides better, but the OME stuff is built strong and built to last.

I have the OMEs too, and I wouldn't say they're too bad. Granted, I've never had the Billies out back, but compared to the truck I had, these OMEs aren't bad. Passengers I've had didn't complain, and that was in a 400 mile round trip.
