Suspension Parts Interchange

We all know about Tundra front brakes being a more or les bolt-on upgrade, wheel bolt patterns are the same over a lot of models, Land Cruiser rear springs work for some lift, FJ rear shocks bolt in and have a little more travel, but what else interchanges across models?

What about other suspension components? Tacoma? FJ? Other?

I've got the feeling from some parts houses that the Tacoma and 4Runner front suspension parts are mostly interchangeable, but it's not generally acknowledged.

Lower ball joints. Tacoma LBJ's are bigger (stronger) but you'll also need Tacoma Outer Tie Rod Ends too to fit the LBJ's.

Old VWs have parts interchange manuals (when you can find them), though it's become pretty much common knowledge in the community what swaps and what doesn't... These cars aren't to that point yet, but is there a parts interchange manual floating around out there somewhere? It won't tell us what parts will bolt in for modification (the above mentioned examples), but it will tell us what we can look for in salvage yards and from parts suppliers (i.e. Tacoma UCAs). I know at one point 4Runners and (whatever Tacomas were called at the time) shared a platform, and just about everything aside from body/interior bits swapped. The Tacomas have a different frame, but from a manufacturing standpoint, they are still very similar and likely share many components... Suspension seems like one that would be very likely to share, engines we already know are plug and play, Tundras and FJs are a bit of an unknown quantity just yet (FJs are a later generation already, so the likelihood is reduced)... Someone with access to this information would serve the community well to do a detailed writeup, or better yet, some sort of indexable chart/database.
