You are correct that it is a complex subject. It is only complex due to the deceptive and dualistic nature of the issue at hand.

Stop listening to what the imam on the foxnews or cnn interview is saying. Stop listening to what your friendly neighbor tells you about the subject. Stop listening to others who have an agenda and start reading. Look at the root subject: mohommed. He is their example. He is the standard. He is what they are all supposed to be like. Note, it is not in the past tense... He is, was, and always will be the perfect example of what a muslim should be. When you begin to understand who he was, what he said, and what he did, you will see that it is a very dangerous belief system.

To your muslim neighbor you are a kaffir. In a perfect world where sharia law is the law of the land, you would have to either become a muslim, pay your friendly muslim neighbor a hefty "jizzya" tax (over 50% of your income) to remain "safe", or he would take you as his slave, confiscate your money, possessions, house, take your wife/girlfriend as his sex slave, sell your children as slaves etc... Its not a pretty picture for us kaffirs...

Do some homework and study the system you are defending... tolerance is fine but you need to understand the system you say you are will tolerate.

There's a similar case here in MN like the one Brian posted but it has no relation to refugees. People protest for the accused perpetrator but forget about the victim who was beaten in the case.

This is something they have done for 1400 years. Building a mosque is a sign of conquest. When it is built they either level all the other religious structures, or build the mosque so it is the tallest religious structure in the location... another sign of dominance.

The world trade center was a "shrine" of capitalism. Building a mosque at that location symbolizes a conquering of the western system of capitalism.

Look at history. The obvious one is Jerusalem. Look where they build the dome of the rock mosque... right smack dab on top of where the temple used to stand... dominance.

Look at Constantinople. Many mosques stand where churches once stood... dominance.

Look at mecca... the most sacred mosque stands where the most significant pagan place of worship once stood before they took over... dominance...

Just goes to show that history repeats itself.
