T4R from 2001' year traction control problem

I bought 4runner from internet auction from NJ and import it to Poland Europe.

I invested a lot of money in this car. New tmimming belt, new breaks, new shocks, new tires, new alloys, new rear bumper nad most important mainfreame was sandblasted , repaired and proceted from rust as it should

But i still have problem with Traction control. I make zero point calibration like was described on forum but it doesn't help. Traction control i so sensitive that i have problem always whenever I move car. I feel it and hear it.

It is very annoying and dengerous.

Anyone have solution to reapir it ??

you could just disble TRAC, VSC and ABS

aside from that take the wheels off. find the abs sensor and clean them up and see if that helps.

I clear front abs sensor and it not help.

I try disable Vsc but when i Put on 4wd and h mode i hear w
Terrible noise from engine hood.

When its disable i have problem with breaks with low speed and turning

Anyone can give me advice ?

I have stock suspension with new tires. On old tires problem was excatly the same.

Sounds like something is wrong with the wheel sensors. With TRAC OFF you shouldn't have turning/braking issues. Even with ABS off you shouldn't have braking issues unless the brakes lock up. And the engine shouldn't be making any weird noise, even the traction control noise from the brakes engaging doesn't sound weird and if that's a result of 4Hi there might be a far bigger issue. I would have a dealership or shop look at it, sounds like you have multiple issues...

Disable VSC/TRAC

So I read this article at Yototech about disabling TRAC & VSC with a switch, is there any draw back to doing this ? Will the TRAC & VSC warning lights remain on, when the system is disabled ? I suppose this would throw some ODB codes when its disabled. Any other drawbacks ? My 2001 truck had one episode recently when we pulled out from a stop onto a major highway, I did not break traction at all, but I pulled out fairly fast and turned a hard right to get on the highway, I heard a clicking noise, like a ABS system and the throttle was shut down for a second or two... the VSC lights came on, then it corrected itself and has never happened again, since then I have calibrated the VSC using instructions online, but I have no idea if its "Fixed"... I have a 98 4runner that has none of this electronic stuff and I think I prefer it without it.

I have excatly the same problem -but i have it all the time. Even when i drive from backyard to garage.

For me Zero Point Calibration doesn't help. Also i clear front ABS sensor and it don't help.

If someone have solution to fix this annoying probleme Please share with us.

For me is always - doesn't matter 2wd or 4wd.
I think that noise comming from front breaks.

It's making a different sound than ABS makes. It sounds like TRAC or VSC is engaging when it shouldn't. Have you tried the mod to disable those yet? You can find the factory service manual for an '02 on the web and it has a bunch of diagnostics that might help you sort it out.

Mine did this to me half the time I would leave from a stop today in light rain with AWD engaged. Even slowly. Drove me nuts. Definitely something wrong because my tires are practically new and the roads weren't bad at all.
