T4R.ORG cards

Here is the pdf file. If you have any problems with it, just PM me your address and I will send it to you.

I don't know about your states, but here in CT a lot of people get pissed when people just put flyers on your car.

I thought the point here was to place the card on other 4Runner owners who have the T4R.org sticker.

You must have designed this thinking that everyone will print it B&W. I just printed my first batch in B&W and they look great. Very classy. Why didn't you make it 8 to a page instead of just 4? Anyway, thanks. I think these will definitely help promote this forum.

Maybe we will finally have a member with a metal dash kit that I can check out before buying one (now that linhsy has his in the shop for a couple months, and it doesn't cover the pieces I want). Sorry to start going off topic.

Iman74, if you think they will get pissed, then don't do it....;):

MickeyMouse, they weren't intended for a game of hide and seek, but if you want to put them on existing members trucks, feel free.

Luxury, actually i made them with the assumption that most people have color printers of some sort. I didn't make them 8 to a page because I didn't feel like crowding the edges in case some people's printers crop in more than others.

Actually, I didn't mean anything by this... actually, there's a 4th Gen that parks right next to me all the time when I go to the Gym, so i don't think it's by accident. It's always there when I leave. I was planing to drop one off for them. It's one of the nice silver ones like several of you have.

Momo: Yeah most people probably have access to color printers, as I do. But at work it is a lot easier and cheaper to use the B&W. And I think the only color you have on there is blue, so it doesn't make much of a difference in color. I think I will print my next batch on thicker paper, like a business card.

Well, I placed my first T4R.ORG card on a 4runner. It was on the 3rd gen pictured in this post. I will mainly be putting them on 4th gens, but I haven't seen one that is worthy yet. I think I saw some blackened tail lights yesterday, but they were traveling by at about 80 mph. Still on the look out for a nice 4th gen.

Do any of you check every 4th gen you drive by for mods? I do.

Yep, I am always looking to see if there are any with mods, and of course to see if they are looking back...:too cool:  :satan:

Did you put your screen name on the back? I am going to make some up but am concerned about using a colour inkjet for printing (worried about what might happen if it rains after I leave one). I like the ones with mods when I see them (less common in Canada IMHO) but I plan on being less choosy - I figure introducing anybody who has a 4runner to the forum can't be a bad thing.

No. I have been thinking about that. I don't really care about credit for bringing someone here, but it would be nice to see the ratio of return. I may send my next batch to the double sided laser printer and add something like this:

"Let me know if you join the forum, my screename is Luxury".

I am going to descriminate mainly to 4th gens because I am biased to wanting more 4th gen knowledge. I may start putting them on the fully loaded runners with little to no mods that I see. Maybe they will be the type that will want to add even more or maybe they have even more pride because they shelled out more for their baby. Plus, it is easier to relate with similarly equiped(4runner-wise) owners. Just theories & speculation, so don't any base equipment owners get all mad. But definitely let me know if you think I'm wrong.

Excuses excuses - don't you watch Fear Factor? :D

J/K, thanks for the free plugs guys - I really appreciate it. I think the stickers and cards are working - we had a dozen new members register yesterday. We've also gotten pretty high up on some of the search engines now. If you search "Toyota 4Runner" on Yahoo, we come up number three right after toyota.com and toyota/4Runner.com :bigok: Another thing you can do to help is if you have a personal webpage add a link to this site - that will really help on Google searches I think.

couldn't find card stock laying around the office so i tried them out on color laser transparencies and i must say they look pretty awesome semi see through, especially when placed on a window. and the transparencies are also waterproof!

Good Idea! I'll have to try that sometime.

Haha, if Luxury is only going to put them on 4th gens, then I will only put them on 3rd gens. This place is getting taken over by all you fancy 4th gen owners!

I don't know if the admins in charge have ever considered this, but the thought crossed my mind. At some point it might make this forum easier to navigate/more helpful if there is a dedicated area for each generation of 4Runner. It would make it easier to find people with similar trucks. I still like to look at almost all the posts, but when looking for particular things it might be helpful.
...Just throwing that out there while the thought occurred to me.

60 posts and you haven't discovered it yet?? :D

Can I somehow copy the PDF file to another document (Word) so that I can manage the format for printing? I can't seem to find a way of saving nor setting preferences for printing other than the actual sheet size.

My blank business card sheets are in 2 rows of 5 per sheet but the PDF file is 1 row of 4 centred on a sheet.

Thanks for any advice.

Cheers
Mark

So is this forum just about mods? I don't know if I even qualify for that! All I've done is add a brake controler, a tranny temp gauge (soon), a cargo net, and a center speaker volume control. (oh, and busted off those little horn tab thingies & low-tech tire pressure caps)
