Happy New Year and Happy Sunday !

It's been a looooong here ... I'm here for good now, with the problem I got my 2006 T4R V6 4WD !

1. Dash lights on: VSC OFF, Skid icon, ABS, TRAC
This was first to come on last year.
Got new tires and didn't get them balanced before a 500 miles drive (big mstake). Since then, not been able to find a place to balance them that has the "Haweka adapter" for T4R wheels !
One place even said the tires (NEXEN) were bad. Is that possible?


2. Steering wheel shakes from speed 50mph and upp. Maybe because of 1 above.
Changed front discs and brakes because of frozen calliper (drivers side). Got it "fixed" but not changed. The workshop says I should change this ( name pls? see pic attached).
The wobble still continues :-(


3. Now Check engine light came on ... on Christmas eve.
I got the OBD bluetooth device and scanned:

Current Fault Log
------------------
P0441: Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0455: Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak, check fuel cap, piping etc)

lag when you step on the gas, for first few minutes until it warms up.


4. The vehicle was shipped from CHicago, USA in March 2014 mileage 123k miles. Shipped to Lagos, Nigeria then 600 mile drive to Abuja.
Only used 5w30 for servicing.

Pennzoil 5w30 Synthetic
Pennzoil 5w 30 Conventional

Next servicing is due (136k mile), need advise on what to use next. I have 2 boxes of Pennzoil Migh Mileage but I'm thinking on going back to the Synthetic and doing the Seafoam treatment.

I definitely want to change front, rear diffs and transfer fluids NOW and lube the drive shaft. Which is the best 75W-90 for me? 2006 T4R V6 4WD 136kmiles


Please advice me on what to do, it's not so easy to maintain a vehicle in this part of the world.
Knowledge is power ... I decided one get aT4R after learning so many things on this forum.

it was removed to expose that part u see in the pic.
I would like to know the name and if it's responsible for the steering wobble.

I would say yes considering that this is not the part you are supposed to remove. I don't know what's causing the light and what condition it was in before but now that you are where you are you need a new cv axel. They cost @$80 at the auto part store. Replace that, disconnect the batery, reconnect to reset the ecu and take it for a drive. It will run a little rough until it relearns.

I am also guessing that this was the issue since you took it out like this. It is supposed to be held together with clamped boots. Search cv axel on this forum.

That's still part of the cv.... The whole thing wasnt removed :roadkill:

Would be a good start to get that replaced.... Lol
