It felt great, I mean i noticed a little more sway but nothing major.I've had the front off for a while now so i'm kind of used to it. I think down the road once i get a rear bumper i with upgrade to the heavy springs and maybe the 2.5 rear shocks then i'm sure it'll be even better with the handling and the sway..

That new TRD is super sweet man, it's so great to see you out on the trail getting it dirty:thumb3: and yes i'm glad we got some awesome pics of everybody in the group to have of this great run!

LOL thanks man. It'll be even better come spring/summer. I'm sure you felt the difference. It's a great thing having a capable rig. Can't wait to get back together again and catch up with some wheeling.

I drove 6+ hours home from Rausch Creek with mine disconnected because my sway bar disconnects were being a pain to reinstall. I had it off for about a month before I got my links back on. You can definitely get away with it. It's somewhat noticeable around turns at higher speed.

What amazes me is that your wife not only let you take your new TRD Pro off-roading, but she was a willing participant. Maybe she tagged along to make sure you didn't do anything too crazy?

HaHaHa......Jennifer has driven it on a couple of the trails there as well, and has become a pretty good spotter! The funny thing is, she couldn't care less about a rock. She will loose her $h1T though if a limb touches the paint :lmao:
We bought this vehicle to get into overlanding and the occasional trail ride, and have been acclimating ourselves to different trail conditions, and learning about the capabilities and very few shortcomings of this particular truck. I think it will be a fantastic platform for our adventures with a few minor mods, like heavier/lift springs, and a bit of armor :cool:
We plan to make the FJ summit next year, and are slowly trying to work up the nerve to tackle Black Bear :faint2:

Highly doubt this is any of you guys but did anyone lose a NC tag? I found one in the bed of my truck someone must have thrown back there, its not expired yet but looked as if it had been on the ground all weekend and run over..


Worth a shot to get it home if anyone sees it or knows of anyone who may have lost theirs..

And i bought his winch which was supposed to be on for that trip but will be on my truck next weekend and my Buddy [MENTION=77033]J053619[/MENTION] bought his wheels haha
 
December 12th run

Just putting it out there, I will be out on the trails Friday December 12th. Enjoying Uwharrie for the last time this season. If anyone wants to come out send me a pm.

Ian, this was a good run and turn out for sure.

You're welcome to come along Larry. I plan on doing the entire park by 3
I'm plan to be at the Outpost around 10. I have a reg walkie talkie I will be bringing. I remember you have one too.
