TAG bumper? Any comments?

I went through all the companies who have front bumpers for my 06 and I noticed Tactical Armor Group is a few hundred bucks cheaper than some other companies while offering more features. I've seen a lot of happy customers using more notable names such as CBI, Demello, and a few others. I've heard of TAG only because I did some research for a bumper for my previous truck and ran across them. Has anyone dealt with them personally? (Bought a bumper, seen the build quality first hand). Shrockworks in only a few hours from me and I could drive to Houston and pick it up to save on shipping, but for similar bumpers, the TAG is still cheaper even including shipping.

I believe that TAG is the same as another company.. blue ridge something or something like that. If you search for TAG or Tactical Armor Group here and/or toyota120, there is a thread where someone talks about meeting with them about having one built.

I can't remember many details except that the person didn't like the looks of the shop or the way the owner talked to him about building it.

Thanks... I also need to look into the timing of said companies. I know shrockworks is like 8-12 weeks or something... I'll try to find the post about that.

Rocktek has an Okay lead time and he in in Saginaw TX

you can see the bumpers on my site..
 
Google Kennesaw Mountain, that's who Tactical Armor Group used to be. He racked up a crap ton of bad reviews and had at least one lawsuit against him for failure to deliver. He shut down and waited a year and reopened under the new name, but it's exactly the same guy. Same crappy business practices too, from what I hear.

truth allot of hate for him on other forums
i know a guy whom has one of his bumpers and the weld for the tire gate cracked.....

I bought one for my Nissan Titan back when they were Kennesaw Offroad, and really didn't have any problems. The shop isn't the most state of the art, and it's a bunch of good ole' boys just making bumpers but they made a good product. It was super stout and well built. All I can say is that bumper killed 13 deer, 2 pigs and 3 trees and still looked perfect. I'd like to see any others hold up like that. That's some firsthand 0.02c.

Do you try and kill animals with your trucks?
 
Yeah that's probably part of the difference. I'm in Texas. I know shrockworks makes good stuff and then there's the rocktek guy someone mentioned that's north of ft worth.
