Right now i have a 3 inch lift in the front (aftermarket struts with stock springs and 1 inch diff drop), 4-7 inch adjustable lift in rear (stock springs, raised lower spring mount, 1 inch spring spacer on top and in coil airbags). Running 305/70 16s (33s) on stock wheels with 2 inch spacers.
I can cut/ weld to do any fab work if needed, but was wondering how many if any have gone higher than 3 inch lift in the front, how much this cuts down the life of CV joints/axles, or if the diff needs to be dropped further.
Before spring comes id like to lift her a few more inches adding longer travel/ better springs/ struts, but would like to keep the IRS if possible because we use my 4runner all the time for trips, hauling kids, bicycles, motorcycles, and trailer but also enjoy some off roading from time to time.
Basically looking to make her the best all around vehicle i can while also keeping it reliable and safe for work and street use.
