Tech features on 2006+ 4Runners

Hi All,

We are looking to add another 4Runner to the stable and I am hoping to get a Limited, Sport Edition or Urban Runner. I really like the Alcantara in the Urban Runner. Any thoughts on that?

Can you tell if which features are available in either model:

- Navigation System (NOT the Garmin thing)
- Bluetooth for phone calls and iPod streaming
- Heated Seats
- Power Seats
- Lumbar Support
- Garage Door Opener
- Automatic Headlights

Ive got a 2007 limited with all of the above. No iPod streaming but it has an aux jack.

Thanks for the info. Is the Navigation unit a standard double DIN? If so, has anyone replaced it with a more modern unit?

yo MTN,
I've got the 07 LTD with the built in Nav system and bluetooth. Backup camera image pops up on the nav display, 4 disc changer. has 2 prong power outlet and AUX in center console, cig power supply in the trunk. it also has the heated seats, lumbar support, and seat memory for 2 positions. auto headlights included, but I can't recall if I have the garage door opener.

I'm biased, but I love it

My 06 Limited does not have the nav system or bluetooth but does have the other stuff you listed.

Its a double din...although Im sure its outdated and there are way better units out there. I haven't replaced it because nothing looks right it in its place...even with the urban runner faceplate. I had this same issue in my S4

Thanks for all the info. We had a 2003 SR5 V8 with grey cladding that we sold and traded for a 2005 Infiniti G35. Now the Infiniti is falling apart (clear coat failure, dash is "melting", inside door trim becoming unglued, etc) and we are thinking to go back to a 4Runner. I drive a 2003 Land Cruiser so the 4Runner will be for the wife and I want ALL possible options so she will stop eyeballing my Cruiser.

If I understand my options guide correctly, you could special order leather in any of the trim levels, but it was only standard in the limited. You need leather to have heated seats in the US so most of the ones you will find that satisfy all your needs will probably be limiteds.

I have a limited with all the options you mentioned - it's a fantastic machine.
