TEQ Customs Headlights Install/Troubleshooting

I haven't seen much about these headlights on this forum, but thought I 'd reach out for tech help from those with more knowledge than me (that bar is low with anything electrical).

The headlights in question:
Special Edition Hex Halo Headlights / 14+ 4Runner / TEQ Customs – TEQ Customs LLC

I have been trying to troubleshoot issues with I'm having getting the low/high beams to function on these TEQC headlights. We were able to get the DRL Halo to function via the harness Hunter (i.e. TEQC) provides.

The headlight low beams and high beams are both combined already into their respective plugs (9006/9005 high beam and H11 low beam). So this is pretty plug-n-play.

I have tried iterations of flipping the connectors to ensure they were not simply clipped backwards (+ to -, - to +).

Side note: I am not replacing the stock headlights, rather the ones I am replacing are the AlphaRex Nova (Acura style). The TEQC headlights require you reuse the OEM socket for the turn-signal and side markers, which the Nova's do not have, thus I do not have.

At first I thought that because the turn-signal and markers were not connected, the circuit wasn't complete, and therefor the low/high beams also wouldn't work.

I discussed with a Toyota tech who indicated these were independent circuits and should not affect one another.
I also tested by connecting the turn-signal and side marker to the AlphaRex, and the low/high beam to the TEQC headlights at the same time. The AlphaRex turn/markers lit up, but the TEQC lights L/H beam did not. So they do not seem to rely on one another.

At that point I ran out of ideas and reinstalled the AlphaRex lights, everything is working fine again with those.

I'm also working with TEQ Customs to get this figured out one way or another, just leaning on y'all for input.

So.. any thoughts?

Thanks

That all seems like way too much trouble.

Can you get a refund?

If so I'd go with stock 2021/2022 headlights, the higher end headlight package retrofit. A few threads on here talking about it. Will give you Toyota reliability and more light.

Or go back to stock and if you need more light go with the h9/h11 modification or whatever it's called, it's cheap and provides more light. Again several threads on here about it.

Aim them down if you get flashed.

Have you tried testing the lights independently with a 12V source?

Who actually built these lights? It seems to me that BxBuilt made them for TEQ. I've never heard of BxBuilt and was looking at their website for more information. They don't have very much info for torubleshooting their products or even on their DIY kits. You might want to try contacting them directly for assistance.

Thanks for the feedback yall.

Update: The headlights are now functioning!

Turns out there is an internal connector behind the cap on the low beams that connects from the projector to the harness that goes to the vehicle wiring. That connector simply needed to be flipped on each headlight, as mine happened to be pinned opposite for whatever reason.
