Your community here is awesome, and one of the most helpful & enthusiastic in helping new members. During my vehicle search, several pm'd me offering research and inspection assistance. For those generous offers, I am extremely grateful. Thank you!

In the end, I went a different direction though, and purchased an 80 series Landcruiser.

Good luck & happy trails gents

Good riddance. :moon:

(Sarcasm. Glad people were good to you)

I went from an LC 80 to a 3rd gen 4runner. The 80 was an absolute tank, and i miss it... but I am getting 5-7 more MPG now... which is the main reason i sold the 80.

Ditto

If he comes to his senses, he'll be back!! LOL

I came from a Chev Suburban, which I believe, is just about the biggest tank on the road! It cost (at the height of the gas prices in 08) $180 to fill the tank!!! I was getting 7-10 mpg depending on whether I was towing. I really got rid of it because it was the biggest piece of junk I've ever had the misfortune of owning.
The point is, once you've come over to Toyota, you'll never want anything else! When the mileage becomes a problem, he'll be back to a 4R or Highlander or maybe a Lexus!!

the only reason why i'm in a 3rd gen instead of a LC right now after the tree incident , paying for the extra fuel when i routinely drive cross country would kill me.......

Here was my cruiser - I miss that old tank! What a beast. Had 35's on w/ stock suspension and no rubbing!
