Hello fellow T4R members. I've been around these forums for a while finally decided to make an account and join the community. This will be a build thread of my 4runner. Nothing to crazy but got it to where i want to be and just need to add a few minor things and I'll be happy.
So it all started when I picked up this beauty. Its a 2000 sr5 v6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. Only had 116k on it but I'm up to 121k.

Current Mods
-Tundra/LC Lift
-1/2" Toytec strut spacer
-1.5" wheel spacers
-285's
-Scion Radio
-Amp and sub addition
-TRD shift knob
-Firestick Antenna
-Cobra 29LTD (Took out because blew fuses)
-KCCO!

This will be PICTURE HEAVY

This is how she looked when I bought her.

Had to take it to its limits. Towed a Pruis back from Reno to Sacramento. I was surprised on how well it did on the MPG's with the car.
<a href="http://s906.photobucket.com/user/Mishok1992/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140207_093108.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac267/Mishok1992/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140207_093108.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140207_093108.jpg"/></a>

So I drove it for few months stock then finally pieced the Tundra/LC lift to install. Including 1.5" hub centric wheel spacers
<a href="http://s906.photobucket.com/user/Mishok1992/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140207_10371_edit_1396685437372.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac267/Mishok1992/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140207_10371_edit_1396685437372.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140207_10371_edit_1396685437372.jpg"/></a>

This is what she looked like with the lift installed. That is my brothers limited edition 4runner but he sold it already.

Added myself a TRD shift knob. Also installed a Scion Pioneer radio to get AUX and installed a 1200 watt amp with a 12in sub in the rear.

To save some money I bought a box for a 10" sub and cut it out for a 12" with a jig saw. Saved me more than $20

Next I got some 285's to fill the wheel gap that I got with the lift. Paid $465 for tires with mount and balanced. The tires had +95% thread on them. Got 'em of CL. What a deal!
<a href="http://s906.photobucket.com/user/Mishok1992/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140322_12000_edit_1396685164456.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac267/Mishok1992/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140322_12000_edit_1396685164456.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140322_12000_edit_1396685164456.jpg"/></a>

Next thing I did was paint my wheels. 4 coats of plasti-dip + 4 coats of paint + 4 coats of clear coat. The color is Dark Shadow Grey and actually looks really good.
<a href="http://s906.photobucket.com/user/Mishok1992/media/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140405_094856.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac267/Mishok1992/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20140405_094856.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_20140405_094856.jpg"/></a>

This is how she stands right now. Added a KCCO sticker. For chivers out there KCCO! Also added the Firestick and I have a Cobra CB but it keeps blowing fuses in the truck so ill have to do direct wiring one of these days.

That little xB in the picture belongs to my brother who had the limited. He is part of the forums here. He sold it and got a gas saver for college. Long commute.

Nice rig Mike,

funny thing.. my ex lives just over in Folsom...

You might see my rig on 50 if I go visit her in the future.

But I see you take the train every once in a while.

Hi Mike, the name is Mike. I've got the '99 Highlander at hazel Station. My buddy drives the Land Cruiser.

Hah. Yea I just got a job in downtown last week so my truck will be there every other day. When I pulled in saw that 4runner I cracked a smile. That a nice rig. I dig the bumper on that 99 tho

I can't put my finger on it, but there is something about your rig that I really like. :)

Is your rig factory manual or did you do a swap? Either way, from what I have seen, you have a relatively rare truck right there. Sport package with a manual tranny. You don't happen to have an e-locker, do you?

Model year 2000 with the hood scoop, manual and color matched fender flares is a bit less rare. All the ones I've seen don't have an elocker. I think it's the early Sport and has leather seats but no sunroof.

I've got a '99 Highlander with the 5 speed and e locker. It has the black medium fender flares and sunroof.

A lot of people ask me if I swapped it. I didn't do a swap. It is factory manual. Mine doesn't have an e-locker. I wanted one with e-locker but when I came this one, I had to get it.

But still im in love with the combo. You could always add an e locker but stock is always nice too.

I think I might do a leather interior swap to get rid of my cloth seats. What you guys think? Is that a good idea?

That combo's pretty sweet!

What I found when wheeling cloth seats give more control (leather is too slippery for me- I slide around!)
but I still enjoy the leather!

Yea true that. I might just do seat covers. Only if3rd gen 4runners have black leather interiors, I've would have it by now.

Did a few more things to my 4runner over the pass week

Installing the .5in body lift. Really simple and easy to do. Took me under 2 hours to do the lift

Rear view with BL installed. Not really noticeable between the hitch and the bumper

Front bumper gap with the BL installed

Still rubbed a bit on the body with 33s so took it in the shop to have the shocks adjusted to the 3rd notch on the bilsteins. They wouldn't let me inside to take better picture lol

Best mod so far the T4R sticker!!

Will be getting a welder soon so I will be looking to manufacture some sliders and possibly bumpers too. Hopefully will have have it done in the next few coming weeks.

She's gone now

I just sold my 4runner last week. The moment it left my driveway, I regretted making that decision. It was by far the best, the funnest daily driver I had. Always looked forward to driving it. The locals around OV and Citrus Heights will still see since I sold it my relative who lives 5 mins from me.
But to fill 8n the shoes of my 4runner, I bought another Toyota but this time it's a 2010 Toyota Tacoma DC 6-speed manual which I always wanted. I'll still try to be on this forum but slowly shifting over to TacomaWorld. If you guys want, I can add to this the build thread of my Tacoma to see what it will look like but if you don't, I won't.

Bummer but it's nice to see you got something you wanted. Add or link up your Tacoma build. I'd be interested in following it.

Yea when I was looking to buy another truck it was either going to be Tacoma or another 4runner and came across the Tacoma so couldn't pass up the buy. You'll probably see it next week at the station. Right now it has from Fox coilover shocks, All-Pro upper control arms, Fox shocks in the rear with All-Pro "Expedition" Leaf pack I believe. Once the build thread is done on Tacomaworld, I will post a link here to view it.

Here's my new ride..

Here is a picture of the truck that replaced my 4runner
Mods:
- Fox 2.5 Adjustable coilovers
- All Pro Upper Control Arms
- All Pro Expedition Leaf Pack
