I'm conflicted. Definitely want the TRD wheels but am having trouble determining which ones would go better with nautical blue. Gunmetal or black. Thoughts?

I struggled with the same decision. I chose the black and am glad that I did. Here is a pic after I removed the white pin striping.

Silly question - was everyone able to use their oem lug nuts on the TRD wheels, or were new lug nuts required?

They use OEM lugs,the ones with washers on them,used on other OEM alloy wheels. I haven't installed my set but will be using black Gorilla brand locking lugs (for OEM wheels),don't like the chrome lug look.

Thanks. I just got it about a month ago, stock, and have made a few changes to it so far. I leveled it with Bilstein 6112 on the front, they are fantastic and am still stock in the rear so far. I plan on doing FJ rear spring swap when I can find a good set of used ones.

Anybody ever have trouble getting these wheels to balance? I put 255/75/17 ko2's on mine. Have a slight steering wheel shudder from 45mph - 70mph. Haven't gone above 70 yet.

Mine took a fair amount of weight but they balanced out okay. I rotate them every 5k miles when I change the oil. It keeps them wearing evenly and minimizes balancing. 38k miles on these bad boys and they still have 11/32 tread

Edit: I'm running 265/70/17's

Shouldn't have any issues with vibrations. I would take it back to whoever mounted them or somewhere else to give them a shot at getting them correct. Vibration at those speeds would definitely make me like the setup less.

Did many of you get road force balanced for your wheels? I have not and am thinking that is the culprit here with my steering wheel vibes.

Just bought a set from a local guy, I'll be putting them on next week. I have silver lug nuts now. Anyone know where I can get a set of black lug nuts? Dealership? Part no? TIA!

Got my wheels today and just finished putting them on my rig. I noticed that my front lug bolts are shorter than the rear lug bolts? It seems like the TRD wheel centers are just a little bit thicker then the stock sport wheels.

Or am I just nuts?
