Here be my Lady, paid the big bucks from toyota, discount tire swapped my tpms when I had the 285's put on. Already got stuck in the mud, and scuffed them up. I guess that's what they're for right?

I have an '06 4Runner Sport Edition V6, 4WD, XREAS w 215k miles, found out Tuesday it is in need of cv boots, lower ball joints and sway bar linkage bushings. Decided if I am going to do that I might as well do it right while I am in there and get rid of the XREAS.

Picked up a set of 5100's and Matte Grey TRD Pro wheels w Nitto 265/70/17's.

Installing the shocks on Tuesday and am torn on which height setting to go with. I will be running stock springs with no spacers on the rear and definitely don't want it to ride nose high. Would greatly appreciate any input or advice from those in the know. Should I go with the .85 or 1.75?

I'll try to get some pics up once it's completed!

Do the FJ Springs provide any additional lift over running the factory springs?

Yea they do. Check Fj Swap thread for how Much. They are Color coded so make sure you put them on the Correct sides.

5100's installed!

Ended up going .85 on the front, stock springs front and rear w 265/70/17 Nittos.

The roof line looks about right and the steps measure out pretty even but the front end still looks a touch low to me and I have about a 1.5" difference in height from the ground between the front and rear fender wells (center line of the wheels), plus the Nittos rub pretty good. Pushed the inner fenders forward which helped but was thinking about bumping up to the 3rd ring, still concerned that might be too much w the stock springs and no rear lift.....

Considering doing either a .25" or .5" ToyTec spacer on the front for just a little more.

Any experience/input much appreciated!

Looking good. Go up one the 5100's, you'll be fine and should be close to level.

I have not noticed any change. That said, I went from much more street oriented tires to the Nitto Ridge Grapplers so I'm not sure how valid the comparison is.

Looks great! I'm surprised you had to remove your mud flaps. My tires were rubbing on the front of the wheel wells where the "bumps" extend down. But they've never rubbed on the mud flaps.

Thank you. Yeah, I was surprised. I’ve seen many people run same sized tires with less of a lift and not have issues. My buddy has zero rubbing with same size tires and only a 1” level kit. At first I tried cutting them down but by the time I got it to not rub most the flap was gone so just removed them all together.

I found these wheels on eBay for $760 with free shipping out of winter park Florida.
